Life Membership Awarded to David Plumridge

Last Thursday at the Scoresby FNC Presentation Night, Dave Plumridge was awarded Life Membership. President Dave Renkin spoke with pride and gratitude as he inducted ‘Pluma’ to the prestigious group.Dave Plumridge joined Scoresby to play in the Under 18s competition in 1984. Since then, he has only belonged to one footy club. Wearing #30, Pluma had a long and successful career on the field, notably playing off half back with a dynamic left boot, which eventually ended in the early 2000s. To those who watch his sons play today, similarities have been made to Luke’s skill and Matt’s tenacity (and voice). Here are just a few of his many accomplishments:- 240 Scoresby games across seniors and reserves- Captain of the reserves- Reserves Best & Fairest 1991, 1994 & 1995 (Division 1)Off the field, Pluma’s accolades are just as noteworthy. He has represented Scoresby in various important roles across the years, including Vice President and Football Manager, a role in which he currently undertakes in 2024. Add to that, he was also Team Manager for the reestablished Under 19 team in 2024, and a vital part of our Past Players group. These details are just the tip of the iceberg.
